PAID.

I was thinking of typing the title in french suddenly. Then realized it was bullshit to do so. Anyway I just got my pay 2 days ago. Yippee! I calculated at first that I would get around $175, but seems that I managed to get $225. Think I counted wrongly somewhere. Well anyway, I'm aiming for a digital camera. Its been my aim for years, but i always lose focus at the last minute. Haiz. This time, I'm aiming for a cam of 6-7.5 megapixels, with anti-shake features. Hope I'll be able to make it.

Had a video chat with Dennis, my 1st dan friend who's currently residing somewhere near Hawthorn. He's studying in Swinburne University of Technology, and from what he tells me, Uni life is where everyone keeps to themselves and until now, he doesn't have any friends, leading a lonely life there. His one and only love is studying in Melbourne University, and he doesn't have the balls to ask her out. His solution is: Leonard, please come to Oz soon, then I'll have the prefect excuse to go to her university for aikido training, since RMIT University has joint trainings with their club. :P

Have to go back to camp tmr, so turning in in awhile. Though I'm pissed in going back, one side of me is happy, as got something to do. Nuts right?

Where's the pay?

Decided not to go back camp tomorrow since I don't exactly have a proper uniform to wear when i go back. Raja can try to figure out this himself. Take it as a test of what he's learnt. Even better if CO doesn't come down at all. Whats more important is, I'm on my leave.
(I've been longing to say this...)

My 1st Kyu belt!!!
Decided to take a pic of it. The words on it stands for my name and its the last of the kyu gradings which I have to take. Yay. Next would be my proceeding to the dan grade if possible.

Look what I picked up!

I was walking around the local mall a few days ago, then there were this group of people distributing stuff like leaflets or discount coupons. Too late to avoid it, so just shuffle thru and put these papers into my bag, and finally when i got home, my drawer.

This morning, I was clearing my stuff in the drawer, when I saw to my horror, that I accidentally "collected" something extra that day:

Whoops!

Picking the condom made me think. Wah, until now, I'm still single, so what use do I have for this? Anyway, my religion forbids pre-martial sex, so it won't come into use anyway. So if anyone needs it, please tell me and I will pass it to you the next time we meet. :)

Mass Hymns..

What do you know? I've found the blog of one of the Toshiba Girls. Think that her name is Vernice, and her friend is Krystle. But yet, the shit thing is they aren't related to Sean's lovelorn Toshiba girl. I'll be putting up her blog address in a few days and kudos to the guy who took the excellent picture.

I only know the names of the 2 on the left. Poor Sean.

I was thinking about some mass hymns, when i remembered my favourite one:

Verse 1
Christ, come quickly, there's danger at the door.
Proverty aplenty, hearts gone wild with war.
There's hunger in the city, and famine on the plains

Verse 2
Want demands aplenty, in far too many lands,
The hearts of Man are empty, their cups of sorrows full.

Verse 3
The clouds shall send a savior, like softly falling rain,
Yet mighty is his power, to free us from out chains,
His shield will be compassion, his weapon liberty.

Chorus
Come Lord Jesus, the light is dying,
The night keeps crying, come Lord Jesus.

Poor guy here...

Haiz, just after my grading, I have only 90 bucks in my account. I gotta find a job soon. Aunt Irene asked me to call her former company to check for a job. The pay is good there, but then I'm worried about things in camp, I'm worried for my understudy, of what new "jokes" he will come up with. Last week was the missing battery, then the missing components of a set. But when I went back to check it out, it was just a case of him misplacing the stuff somewhere in the store, due to his incessant shifting of the equipment to his liking. Then when he forgets, he will call me to ask me where did i put it. Furthermore, he still harbours the hope that he QM will call him back to 39th, cuz they made him believe that he was the best man for the job there, and he strongly believes that he's indispensable. So they will surely recall him back there.

I really want to shove it in his head that thats not the case. Since he's in 36th, and he's here with the rest of the lesser bunch of people transferred from 39th, he should know better. But then I don't want him to start crying again. For a 20 year old guy, he should mature up abit and stop depending on his tears to do the work for him. If he's really so good, why doesn't his unit wants to keep him, but transferred him here on the first move? He ought to think about this. From his side of the story, he tells me its a temporary arrangement for them to test out their new staff. But from the discussion I had with his QM at HQ, he's permanently posted here, whether he likes it or not. Seriously, I wouldn't mind his understudy coming over, he's way more capable, and doesn't think so highly of himself. He's not a braggart, nor a complain king. People know how to move on after something has happen. But my Private here doesn't. He just harps on it on and on.

God bless him.

Grading ends. Today.

Just went for my grading in the noon. Really shagged. Darn tired. But I met this cute china babe while I was buying T-shirts from the aikido club. Really cute facial features, but too bad she's leaving back to China soon. Met Lee Yun there today, she was the uke for a certain number of gradings, and she's really a very "enuthsiatic" person, can't spell that word...haha. She's one of the 1st few girls whom I know who have so much energy, can't fight with Ivan the energizer bunny from camp.

Edwin and Ahmad Hakim were my uke for the grading, resulting it all three of us were damn shagged. Bought 2 T-shirts, together with Claus who was trying to hook me up with the cute china girl. That guy is really one kind...

I was saying that due to my shoulders being too broad, I have to get one that I can wear, not wear to thrill. Then he even went to the extend to ask the girl what kinda guys she likes, and that I could be one of those choices. A form of advertising huh?

Harmonize.

Art of Harmony

My friend, Claus the painter.

Haiz, my grading is just tomorrow, feeling the stress already. Meeting Claus and Adrian to go down and watch the white belt grading early in the morning. Wish me luck.

I went down to Claus's place at The Bayshore today to help him with his techniques and practice my own at the same time. I had to walk a freaking round to reach his place, which was actually just behind my house, which was separated by a private property fence. Goodness. Just for that, take it as an exercise. Claus showed me his two oil paintings, they were fabulous! I really admire him for such good works of arts, I would never dream of producing such pieces. Played kill zone at his place and had pizza. Yummy.

Singapore doesn't belong to Chinese only.

Tried to "cook" one of my SAF combat ration packs today...hmm tasted better than my own cooking. Something to work on, this should not be the case.

Was going for training today, just boarded the bus heading there when this disgusting lady boarded the bus, think she was muttering and cursing about sharing the bus with viets, chinese nationals and other races, cuz all the other passengers turned around to look. I was standing there listening to my mp3 player when she shouted, so I turned around to see what was louder than my earphones...instead, the lady turned around and shouted at me, saying what am I staring at? Seriously, I only stared when she asked me what I was staring at. :P

Finally reached my stop, then there was this rather middle age lady standing in her path, and she shouted at the lady to get lost. So unreasonable! A young lady stared at her, shook her head and got off the bus. Then this disgusting lady started to chase the young lady. There was this hawker selling his wares, some toys for kids, and he happened to be on the warpath. The lady just took the toy from his hand and threw it on the ground! Wah lau eh. The guy was darn pissed, started shouting all the swear words at her. Then she ran into me, and don't know what, decided to siam, in the process knocking into another lady who was walking beside me. She turned around and started pulling the lady's hair. My goodness, siao ar!

If happened today i was in a mad mood and she did this to me, boy, she's in deep shit coz i will really call the cops just to get her into deeper shit, citing reasons as a public nusiance. If she tries violence on me...Hmm, what can I do?
(Going for my gold tipped black belt grading this weekend, then got free test dummy. :) )

Sean...you lovelorn dude.

Just browsed past Sean's site just now. He really seem in love with the Toshiba girl we met during the COMEX '06 while working as HP promotors there. From my guess, she's either a local or foreigner, ok, thats bullshit there, nothing helpful. but then she's probably studying in a local poly and should be around 17-19 years old. Not that I shared a liking for her and I'm fighting with Sean for her attention, but then I do instead prefer the ASUS girl, i think its SEPPROM actually. But not that I'm actually having any interest actually, aww..what am i saying? :P

Anyway. one thing i do share, its the "high" that Sean got when the girl smiled at him. Thats the equivalent of someone who has just found the prefect treasure he has been looking for all the while, and I know that it's comparable to nothing in this world. So buddy, here we go:

This is the girl of Sean's dream..

A Quartet...

By the way, regarding the copyright of this pics, I would like to state that these aren't mine, more to what I took from someone else blog. My kudos to you dude, for producing such excellent pictures, and that these pics are more to used for a keepsake, not for anything else. Cheers.

Toshiba Gal..

Yay, my search for the toshiba girl on Sean's behalf has not being fruitless. Hey sean, if you are reading this, I've got 2 pics of her, do drop me a comment if u happen to see this.

Hey, around 6 more days to my 1st kyu grading, feeling nervous by the days go by. I pray that I can do well in this last grading, les i mess up the whole damn thing. I have got my 2 uke(s), which are Edwin and Ahmad Hakim. Hope they will be able to last thru the entire grading :P

Koff.Koff...

Its being 3 weeks now and my cough is still here, funnily enuff, only when i come home then i'll start coughing alot again. Wonder why.

I'm still jobless for the week. Need to find some stuff to do. And keep fit too. I haven't exercise in a long time cuz of the illness. I'm raring to go back to my regime.Had a heated quarrel with my mom the other day. It made me think:

I can't stay on here forever. Sooner or later i gotta make my own decision to see whether do I go PR overseas or what. No offence, its not that I do not like Singapore, but in actual fact, I love it here. But I really need a change of environment. Every passing day at home, I feel so empty. I really need a reason to slog on here. I considered leaving the country before. But there are relationships holding me back. There's still some feelings around out there.

I'm looking thru the properties over at Melbourne now. The student accomodations that is. which I plan to share with Terence when we get over there next year. I would have to brush up on my cooking before that. People I would like to learn from are my mom's eldest brother, he makes the best chicken rice. My grandma, she makes my favourite nonya food. My eurasian uncle, with his family's unique style of cooking....etc.

Well...back to work.

Got a new CD...

Just bought a new CD from some ulu CD Shop in Bugis. And it's some non-stop mega mix. Bloody hell, now how am I suppose to listen to my favourite songs? Really cum gong pirate. Should I change the disc to another one. Very sian.

Oh yes, my new notebook, the Asus A8J.

First ride on the A8Jc

This is my first time using my notebook to access the Internet and update my blog. Overall I feel good, keys are ok to touch. DVD writer can be used. Wireless was up in no time. Yay.

Going back to camp for my FFI and to hand over the store to Jeremy. Hopefully all goes well smoothly tomorrow, no craps. My cough is still the same, no difference whatsoever. Hope for the best tomorrow.

Can also can a few ventolin inhalers from the camp doc, if he's kind enough to provide.

End of work.

Yes. finally no more work. I didn't see Millie today, got a tat disappointed. I just can't figure out why I feel this way.

Oh yes, I bought my notebook already. It came with a free printer, bag and mouse. Feeling so elated, finally got such a nice notebook with a builit-in webcam. Woo hoo. Managed to get it at a price of $2170 with some freebies. Yay.

My legs really hurt from standing so long. Now i'm deciding between sleeping or going for the foot massage machine or just plonk myself into bed.

Sunday, September 03, 2006

Shit. My limbs are killing me.

3 days in a row, working in the Comex 2006, is literally HELL.

Tmr i shall be getting my notebook. The ASUS A8J with 1.73Ghz, Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology, 256 Dedicated Video RAM...Yum. etc. Crap. I'm just so shagged with my limbs.

2nd Day of work.

Things started off sluggishly. I find that this company which I'm working for, the management is somewhat nuts. Why? Cuz your sales aren't so good, and you have a small booth with so many promoters, what would you do?

My company chose to hire more promotors to boost sales. But you know something? There's 4 times the number of promotors to the number of notebooks that are up for sale. Now thats what I calll oversaturated. We look like a freaking black wall of promoters looking for customers. Goodness, what an ugly side. We looked so desperate and in need of a better marketing strategy.

I only managed to bag a sale today. Crap man...the boss wants us to sell more, but just on simple terms of comparing our products to others, we have already lost the chance by half. Comparing with their freebies, lost another 25%. 2 words: No fight.

You know whats the joke? Sean was so good in explaining the features to his customer that she offered him a job. Damned. He was really pissed man.

Lelong..! Selling notebooks at the Comex 2006

1st day since I last started working at the Comex 2006 yesterday. Got a rude shock when my camp called to recall me in the morning, started wondering what happened.

Turns out that there was no problem, just a minor issue of signing the book in/out book. I'll be back on the fifth for my FFI, then hand over the store to Jeremy. And hopefully, it'll be the end of my troubles with the 36th SCE Log Dept.

It's not that I dislike my workplace, but then though many people recognize me as "slack" and I totally agree with you guys, but the protocol for doing things there is just wrong. There's people with a 3SG rank who thinks that they are the man in doing work, though they are really the "MAN" when compared in the sense of they mass and BMI. (Hey, remember that you just posted in awhile ago. you need our trust to work with us, not just ur fingers.)

Anyway, back to the Comex, Guojiu was saying to Sean and me, to see who breaks the egg first. In the sense, our egg is the big fat "0" that we have in our sales target. Concidentally, after he said that, I made two consecutive notebook sales, making them really pissed. Well, nows the start of another working day, lets see whats my sales target supposed to be, since its a coming weekend, and hopefully there will be better sales, and I can scout for my own notebook at the same time.

Proposed Target: 6

Wish me luck!
